Content Team (Brazil)

Sylvia Zwi manages the translation and interpretation of content into Brazilian Portuguese at A native of Brazil, she has worked with institutions dedicated to the arts, arts education, and teaching through the arts for over three decades. She is a firm believer that the arts are intrinsic of our humanity and is committed to the transformative power of the arts.

Currently, Sylvia is Dean and Director of Early Childhood Arts and Professional Development at Sitar Arts Center. She also works with educators and children as a Master Teaching Artist and Arts Integration Coach for multiple organizations throughout the Washington, DC area, including the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, Inner-City Inner-Child, and District of Columbia Public Schools.

Sylvia previously worked with the Stecher and Horowitz School of Music, Woodmere Academy, Levine School of Music, Imagination Stage, and Choral Arts Society of Washington.

Sylvia is co-founder of Cultural Remittances, an initiative that bridges perspectives and envisions community empowerment through information, cultural arts exchange, health education, and financial literacy. Sylvia is also the founder and Executive Director of Coaching Through Practice: Perfecting the Art of Learning and Teaching, LLC and Artful Play Project, an exploratory platform for arts education in and out of the virtual world.
