Content Team (France and Canada)

Simon Charette manages the translation and interpretation of content into French at Trained as a pianist and an opera singer, Simon was recently appointed assistant conductor and chorus master for the Southern Maryland Youth Orchestra and Chorus. He also serves as assistant conductor, chorus master and pianist for the Washington Opera Society. Recent productions include Lehar’s Land of Smile ​presented at the Austrian Embassy, Verdi's Aida at the Egyptian Embassy, Bizet’s Carmen at the Embassy of France, and Kalman’s The Gypsy Princess at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, DC.

Simon conducts the Rochambeau Choir and the Choir of the Embassy of France. He recently led both choirs for French President Emmanuel Macron's address in Washington, DC. He also recently conducted the Maitrise of Reims Cathedral as part of their North American tour. Simon teaches music at Rochambeau, the French International School in Bethesda, MD.
